Picking out the accessories for my ceremony and the supplies for my reception wasn’t half as hard as trying to choose something nice for my bridesmaids. I just couldn’t seem to come across anything that they would really appreciate. I went online and there are quite a few brilliant gifts for bridesmaids and all that attend the reception. Trying to select just the right one is where it got frustrating. I stumbled across some wonderful low-priced thank you items as well. I got a really good deal on a wedding set that had a ring bearer pillow, a flower girl basket, a guest book, a pen, and eight pieces in total. That was a big savings. They were a lot cheaper as a set than they would have been if I would have purchased them individually.
I knew my bridesmaids would be excited if I got them an elegant jewelry box, and I found just that while I was perusing through the thank you gifts. Really, there were tons of wedding jewelry boxes that were very fancy. My head was swirling from all of the options out there for thank you presents, and I had to just go work on some other part of the wedding to get my focus back. I had almost everything I needed for the ceremony, but there was a few more things I needed to pick out for my reception. One thing that was on my plate, so to speak, was finding a wedding cake topper, and another was picking out wedding gifts for my friends and relatives, so I paid attention to those two next. I opted for a bride and groom salt and pepper shaker set and a bottle opener made to look like doves that had a beautiful chrome finish. The package that the dove bottle openers came in was so pretty that I just used that and didn’t even get any special boxes. My fiance got his groomsmen a nice little stainless steel flask and a multi tool gadget that has just about everything from a pair of pliers to a bottle opener.
The topper I finally decided on was a bride and groom embracing and it was really quite lovely on top of our wedding cake. The newly weds were my ultimate choice, but I checked out a lot of options, and I nearly settled on one with crystals and initials written in silver. Now, I had everything but the gifts for my girls, so I had to make a final decision. I bought everone a piece of unique wedding jewelry, and we put it in leather jewelry boxes. What I found for them was a shimmering rhinestone bracelet. It may sound like that was a bit extravagant, but it wasn’t. I kept some money in my pocket by getting discount wedding jewelry that was very pretty, and there was much selection. I also got a some pearl wedding jewelry for myself, and wore it in my wedding ceremony. There are some really exquisite pieces to choose from, and less costly than you may imagine. The girls really loved their thank you gifts and I guess the guys were happy with what my fiance chose for them too.
It turned out to be the best day of my life and we all had such a great time at the reception. My single sister caught the bouquet and my brother in law was the winner at the garter toss. I wonder if this could be the start of something big? If they did get together and someday took the plunge, he would still be my brother in law, but my sister would also be my sister in law too. Only time will tell.
