Wedding day arrangements are always an exhilarating experience, but the number of choices for the décor, gifts, and so on also makes it a somewhat frantic one. My daughter and I were planning her wedding day together and the hardest part of the whole thing was getting her to make up her mind. First she didn’t know if she wanted a themed wedding or if she would rather go with a traditional ceremony and reception. We looked through all the themed wedding possibilities and she just couldn’t decide. For her special day, she thought about building the wedding around a lakeshore setting, and then she considered a wedding in an outdoor garden setting. The church was reserved, and so was the reception hall, and all of the invitations had been sent out. Finally we were down to the cake topper, place card holders and wedding favors. That was all we had left to pick out. Our blushing bride picked out a pair of glazed porcelain doves to use as her cake topper. Those doves will make an outstanding piece for her to treasure forever. Every guest got a place card holder at the reception that was silver and in the shape of a picture frame. She said she liked those best because after the reception the guests could take them home and use them to display their favorite little picture. The products she bought for her special day ended up being very good choices. She bought a lot of items at discount prices, so she saved a little money and plans on putting that towards their honeymoon.
The wedding ceremony was absolutely fantastic and the reception was gorgeously decorated and got a lot of positive comments. When the bride and groom did their first dance, it was a stunningly beautiful moment. We all did a lot of dancing that night, and I swear my feet still hurt, but it was all worth it, it was a wonderful event that I will remember forever. My own baby, now married, may have a baby of her own some day. When we have her baby shower, I will go right back to the same place to find baby shower favors and supplies.
