Picking out the accessories for my ceremony and the supplies for my reception wasn’t half as hard as trying to choose something nice for my bridesmaids. I had a really difficult time finding exactly what I wanted to get for them. I went online and there are quite a few lovely gifts for bridesmaids and all that attend the reception. Narrowing it down was the big challenge. There were also a lot of great deals on thank you gifts that I found at a discount. I also saved a lot of money on my wedding accessories, like the 8 piece wedding set that had my guestbook and pen, flower basket, ring pillow and more. That was a big savings. They were a lot cheaper as a set than they would have been if I would have purchased them individually.
I was just browsing through possible thank you presents when I finally came across something the women standing up for my wedding would like: a beautifully adorned jewelry box. Really, there were multiple wedding jewelry boxes that were very fancy. My head was swirling from all of the options out there for thank you presents, and I had to just go work on some other part of the wedding to get my focus back. I had almost everything I needed for the ceremony, but there was a few more things I needed to pick out for my reception. The wedding favors for relatives and close acquaintances hadn’t been settled on, so I looked at doing that, and then there was also the matter of a wedding cake topper to look into. I opted for a bride and groom salt and pepper shaker set and a bottle opener made to look like doves that had a beautiful chrome finish. The package that the dove bottle openers came in was so pretty that I just used that and didn’t even get any special boxes. My fiance got his groomsmen a nice little stainless steel flask and a multi tool gadget that has just about everything from a pair of pliers to a bottle opener.
We got a figurine of a bride and groom holding each other to put at the top of our cake. I almost picked one out that had embossed silver intials and crystals, but after looking through a whole bunch of possibilities, I went with our mini bride and groom. With all of the rest of it out of the way, it was time to make the call on a present for my bridemaids. They each got cheap jewelry boxes, and inside of it was some unique wedding jewelry. What I found for them was a shimmering rhinestone bracelet. It wasn’t over-the-top, even though it might seem that way. The volume of options in discount wedding jewelry was so great, and so good, that I got them some of that and saved a little cash in the process. In fact I bought my pearl wedding jewelry to go with my wedding gown there too. The quality of the jewelry is top-notch, and the prices are deeply discounted. The groomsmen were pleased with what my hubby got them, and the bridesmaids were thrilled with theirs.
The wedding day was everything that I had fantasized it could be. My single sister caught the bouquet and my brother in law was the winner at the garter toss. I wonder if this could be the start of something big? If anything came of it and my sister and his brother end up married, that means my sister would also be my sister in law. Only time will tell.
