My mom suggested I shop online for my wedding accessories, like flower girl baskets, ring bearer pillows and reception supplies. She said it beats running from store to store and all there is to do is check them out, order the ones I like and wait for delivery. I found everything from invitations to wedding favors, and some items at wholesale prices. Our invitations weren’t the only thing I saved money on, I also saved on other accessories too. I found a lot of my accessories for my bridesmaids, flower girl at a great price and there were unique ring bearer pillow wedding ideas to work with too. I was amazed at all the different styles of ring pillows.

As far as reception supplies, they had everything. So many choices of glassware and candles to add to the elegance of each table. They had a lot of suggestions for themed weddings and even destination weddings, with all kinds of wedding favor ideas. There everything, including favor boxes for beach, winter, garden and other themed weddings./ There are beautiful accessories for beach, winter, garden and other themed ceremonies and receptions. I really liked the novelty favors they have for a Las Vegas themed party, like the little photo albums and keychains.

As wedding favors I chose crystal paperweights for all of our guests. Athough the favors were an added touch of elegance all on their own, I packaged them in exquisite little favor boxes. Out of everything I bought, I loved my cake topper the most. The cake topper was the most exquisite part of our wedding cake. It really was an especially beautiful cake topper with a lovely butterfly and a satin bow.

Our wedding décor and wedding favors seemed to make quite an impression. Some of the guests came up and thanked me for their gifts and told me how beautiful they were. What I really liked about this place I shopped was the fact they have more than just cake toppers and wedding ring bearer pillows. There were all kinds of supplies and great ideas for birthdays, wedding showers, baby showers, and girls night out parties too. My sister just told me the other day that she got all the favors and supplies she needed for my bridal shower at the same place I bought my wedding supplies. Our mom gave her the idea of going online to find everything she needed for my bridal shower she was throwing for me, just like she did for me with my wedding supplies.

In about three and a half weeks I’m giving my sister a baby shower and I already know where I’m getting the decorations, favors and other party supplies from. I already know what supplies and favors I want to order, but I have to do that until some time next week. That’s when she finds out if she is having a girl or boy. Then I can order the favors in pink or blue, even though there are other neutral colors I could choose.

I want to thank my mom for pointing me towards this easy way to shop, it saved me a lot of time and money. I also want to thank her for helping with the reception arrangements and filling out all those thank you cards. Thanks for all of your wonderful suggestions and all of your help, mom. I promise I’ll keep this place in mind when it’s time for our anniversary parties. There are great little suggestions for anniversaries, even decorations, cake toppers and little thank you gifts. I saw a lot of lovely ideas for my mom and dad’s 30th wedding anniversary. Me and my sister should look at the possibilities together. No use waiting until the last minute, it’s not that much longer before they reach their 30th year as man and wife.

   My sister threw a bridal shower for me last weekend and she really did a fantastic job planning everything on her own. She made all the food herself, no caterers, just her in the kitchen making all these wonderful dishes all by herself. All her tables were set up so nicely and the decorations were really something to brag about. She really went all out on this wedding shower for me. I was very impressed with all she did. For someone who has never attended a bridal shower before and being as young as she is, I was totally surprised at all she got accomplished.  She admitted that she did order the cake though, baking is not one of her strong suits. It was a lovely cake too, with each layer shaped and decorated like shower presents, with a big glass slipper setting on top. It was quite unique.

   We played a lot of fun games, bridal bingo, making wedding dresses out of toilet paper and several other enjoyable games. She had nice little party favor gifts for the winners and very nice crystal favors for everyone as a thank you gift for coming to my shower. I received a lot of wonderful gifts from all of my friends and family members at the party, but I think the one gift that meant the most to me was the jewelry box my sister gave me.

She bought it especially for my wedding, to keep my special jewelry in for my ceremony.

It was absolutely exquisite. It was wooden with gold on the top with beautiful delicate butterflies and on the inside was a place to hold a picture, which she said is for my wedding picture. I’ve never seen anything like this before, it was really quite unique. She said she bought it so I could store my wedding jewelry and a small picture of me and my husband on our wedding day as a keepsake. That was such a thoughtful idea.

   The party went on for about three hours and we were all having so much fun. I really hated to cut the cake it was so adorable, but I made sure I got pictures of it before we all devoured it. It really was delicious. It was my favorite, chocolate, double fudge chocolate. I had two pieces and I told her if I can’t fit in my wedding dress now, it’s all her fault.

   On my wedding day, my sister was right by my side at the altar. She was my maid of honor and her boyfriend was our best man. They really make a cute couple, and I can’t wait until they set a date. I’ll probably be giving her a wedding shower before too long, and I just hope I can do half as good a job as she did with the planning. I’d really like to find a shower gift as special as the one she bought for me when that day comes. I did get her a lovely maid of honor necklace for standing with me at my ceremony. I was so glad she liked it. She always has loved jewelry, so I was pretty sure I wouldn’t go wrong with that gift.

    After the ceremony and reception was over, my new husband and I stopped at our place to change and leave for the airport to start on our honeymoon in Hawaii and I took my pearl wedding jewelry and placed it in the jewelry box my sister bought for me. Whenever I take out this box I’ll not only remember my beautiful wedding day, but my wonderful sister as well.

   I had spent all week looking at wedding supplies and ceremony accessories in just about every bridal shop and store I could find. I even went to the mall looking for some of the items I wanted for my winter wedding. I did get quite a bit of the accessories crossed off my list, like the invitations, dresses and bouquets for me, the bridesmaids and the flower girl, but I still had so much to get. The problem was that I was exhausted from all the running and shopping and so I decided to take the day off and pamper myself. I went to the health club I joined last year and relaxed in a nice hot whirlpool and steamed myself in a sauna and just enjoyed the peace and quiet.

   After I showered and was ready to go home, I decided to stop at the juice bar and have a nice cool drink. That’s where I struck up a conversation with one of the other ladies that went there. She was talking about her daughters wedding and reception she had just had and how fantastic everything turned out. I told her I was planning to marry next month, but that I was already getting burned out on the shopping and planning part of it all. She said her daughter got almost everything she needed for her ceremony and reception right off the computer. She ordered everything from decorations to reception favors and never left the house. That sounded so good to me, that as soon as I got home I hit the internet.

   She was right, I couldn’t believe all the accessories and reception supplies they had available. There was so much for traditional weddings and themed weddings, including items perfect for the winter ceremony and reception I wanted to have. There were a lot of winter decoration ideas to go over for the reception tables and hall. Beautiful snowflakes, snowglobes and other winter ideas for my wedding. The cake toppers were really out of this world. I particularly liked the funny ones that show the whimsical side of marriage. I thought about using one of those, but I wanted to try to stick with my winter theme. So I found a couple of winter toppers that I felt would be perfect for our cake. All I had to do was pick one of them.

   I also found some fabulous crystal champagne flutes and lovely wine glasses for our reception tables. The centerpieces were bright red poinsettsas in round bowl type vases. They were absolutely gorgeous. I also added candles on each table. As far as a wedding reception favor for each of our guests, there were a lot to choose from, even for winter themed receptions. I picked out beautiful little winter candles for each of our friends and family and had them packaged in very decorative snowflake favor boxes. They really added to the décor of my tables and got me a lot of compliments.

   This ordering everything online works out pretty good. I wish I would have thought of this before. It could have saved me a lot of walking and driving around, not to mention the money I saved.  Some of these items were bought wholesale. After I placed my order, all I had to do was wait for everything to arrive at my door. It’s the perfect way to shop. I wish someone would invent grocery shopping online. I hate going to the supermarket. Well, everything turned out perfect, from the decorations to my reception favor selection and everyone there had a super time.

   There are all kinds and styles of wedding ceremonies and receptions today. You don’t have to stick to tradition unless you want to.  Brides today have options for their planning. You can go with seasonal, storybook, ethnic and even western frontier. Another popular type of wedding is the destination wedding.  This requires picking a location to have your ceremony and reception in a wildly fun place like Las Vegas, or a beautiful tropic ceremony in the Bahamas, or maybe even a western  wedding in the great state of Texas.  Where ever your heart desires.  You, your groom and a small group of friends travel to the location  to celebrate your union, and the best part is, if you wish, you can have your honeymoon there too.  A themed wedding is at the top of the list for couples getting married today. 

   You could have a very beautiful winter wonderland ceremony and reception, with all the beauty of a white Christmas. With snowmen decorations and snow globe favors, this can be one of the most gorgeous of seasons to marry.  A popular summer ceremony is the beach wedding.  Sun, surf and seafood with a great beach party reception. Or maybe you like the fall the best, with all the fabulous autumn colors, pumpkins, gourds and scattered leaves. Spring is the perfect time for a lovely garden ceremony and reception.  With all the flowers blooming and the fresh smell of a gorgeous spring day.  Whatever your choice of themes are, you can find just about any wedding supplies and accessories to go along with it.

   Our ancestors came from Ireland, so my husband and I had a good old fashioned Irish wedding. We had everything from the upside down horseshoe made of fabric and worn on the brides wrist to claddagh wedding rings. After the ceremony we all went to an Irish pub for the reception and danced to some wonderful Irish tunes. The wedding cake was like a scumptious fruit cake with layers piled high and frosted with a white Irish icing. But the top layer of the wedding cake is an Irish whiskey cake and is saved for the christening of your first born. You also save a slice for your anniversary. There is a lot of customs to an Irish wedding and reception.  It was a fantastic celebration. We rented the pub for the night and I had all the tables set up in Irish décor, even our champagne glasses had the print of the claddagh on them. I also had the perfect Irish themed wedding favors for every guest. That was quite a night.

   My sister went for a storybook wedding. She always had a thing for the Cinderella and Prince Charming fable, now she had her chance to live it, if only for one night. It was really beautiful. She had everything in a fairy tale, from decorations to a castle cake topper. She found some exquisite themed party favors too. I’m telling you, you can do just about anything you want when planning a wedding and reception.  It’s your special day, so why not have it the way you want it?    My sister knows I’m not really much on tradition. I’m kinda the wild child in the family and I’ve always wanted everything to be different or sometimes even the opposite of everyone else.  I must admit, sometimes it drove my mom and dad a little crazy. They weren’t always sure how to take me. But thank goodness my sister did.  That’s why she knew there was no way I was going for a traditional old fashioned wedding and reception.    We looked in some bridal shoppes and checked out wedding books, but they all seemed to give the same message: “Tradition” So she suggested we go online and see what kinds of weddings and receptions other people have come up with.  There were lots of theme weddings and I kinda liked that idea, because that sorta leaves my options open.          

There are a lot of different themed wedding ideas to consider. There is the color scheme theme, which I’m not to crazy about, and seasonal themes, like winter wonderland décor, or a garden wedding ( no way ) and a super beach wedding and reception party, which I would consider.  But I really liked the destination wedding and reception idea. I was thinking Vegas would be a great place for a wedding, and right afterwards we could start our honeymoon there too.

   So I kept Vegas open as a good option. Then there was the storybook wedding, but, I’m not into all the frills and girly lacey things, and I outgrew fairy tales a long time ago. The western frontier one sounded pretty awesome.  We could have a huge barbecue on a ranch somewhere for my reception. There were even outfits for the bride and groom that depict a country western motif, with hats and cowboys boots and everything. They’ve even got new favors perfect for a western celebration.  That sounds really wild. That’s a suggestion I could live with. I kept picturing bales of hay stacked all around for the reception, with maybe barbecued ribs on the pit and maybe we could even have a rustic old wagon for a hayride. The more I thought about it, the more I liked it.

   There were also ethnic wedding ceremonies and receptions like a beautiful Asian wedding with lanterns and all the gorgeous accessories of the orient.  Those were really awesome too.

   There were some really nice accessories for an Irish ceremony and reception with all kinds of items in a beautiful Irish motif. There is just all kinds of choices, but I think I’ll go with the western frontier wedding. I really like that one a lot, and decoration should be pretty easy. The hardest part may be finding a location to have this celebration, but I’m sure there are places we can find that will be appropriate.  I’m really excited about this idea. All I have to do is convince my fiance, but I think he’ll be pretty cool about it.

   I had my sister help me start planning for my western wedding.  We’ve found so many awesome decorations and accessories online.  I also called a few places and have found the perfect location. I was so excited I called my fiance and work and told him all about it.  Surprisingly enough he actually liked the idea. So we are officially having a western wedding ceremony, and a barbecue and an old fashioned hoe down at our reception. So now I’m shopping for everything I need, from invitations to new party favors . I’m so glad my sister came up with all these cool suggestions.
