Behind the bride and groom table was a floral arch of red and white roses and green foilage and there were beautiful flower bouquets on the reception tables with silver sparkles scattered about. She picked out tea light place card holders in the shape of silver doves that made the tables shine even more. The small jewelry boxes each woman at the wedding got as a favor had crystals and flowers beautifully interwoven in their design. All the guys got a key chain with a frog wearing a crown and royal robe on them, which represented the infamous frog prince. The silver-plated, cheap jewelry boxes that each of the bridesmaids received had a black velvet lining. The date of the wedding and name of the new happy couple were inscribed in the boxes. The thank you gift my daughter gave the girls was very warmly received. It was a box like I used to have, we had no idea it was a cheap jewelry box, it was so expensive looking. The guys all got wine gifts sets with their names engraved on a small plaque. Those were great, one of a kind thank you gifts, in my opinion.
The three-layered wedding cake they had was topped in debounair fashion with a small castle as the wedding cake topper. She even found a cake knife set that matched up with her storybook theme and champagne flutes to go with it. The amount of money she saved was staggering considering that she didn’t skimp on quality. They were firm about the fact that they did not want us to cover the bills from the wedding even though, as parents of the bride, we made it clear to them that we expected to pay for everything.
The first dance for the bride and groom was like something in a movie, and it was very emotional for me. It truly looked like something out of a fairytale, just like the ball in the Cinderella story. We had a fantastic time at the reception and the garter toss was unbelievably funny, with all the guys pushing and shoving each other out of the way so they could be the one to catch Cinderellas garter. My baby girl’s fantasies were fulfilled on a glorious wedding day,with all of her close friends and family members to share it with. Her ideal honeymoon is where they are at the moment, and I’m sure it will be wonderful, too. When they return, I want a full description of all the wonderful places they visited while sight seeing.

Picking out the accessories for my ceremony and the supplies for my reception wasn’t half as hard as trying to choose something nice for my bridesmaids. They were a lot cheaper as a set than they would have been if I would have purchased them individually.
I knew my bridesmaids would be excited if I got them an elegant jewelry box, and I found just that while I was perusing through the thank you gifts. Really, there were tons of wedding jewelry boxes that were very fancy. My head was swirling from all of the options out there for thank you presents, and I had to just go work on some other part of the wedding to get my focus back. I had almost everything I needed for the ceremony, but there was a few more things I needed to pick out for my reception. The topper I finally decided on was a bride and groom embracing and it was really quite lovely on top of our wedding cake. The newly weds were my ultimate choice, but I checked out a lot of options, and I nearly settled on one with crystals and initials written in silver. Now, I had everything but the gifts for my girls, so I had to make a final decision. I bought everone a piece of unique wedding jewelry, and we put it in leather jewelry boxes. What I found for them was a shimmering rhinestone bracelet. It may sound like that was a bit extravagant, but it wasn’t. I kept some money in my pocket by getting discount wedding jewelry that was very pretty, and there was much selection. It turned out to be the best day of my life and we all had such a great time at the reception. My single sister caught the bouquet and my brother in law was the winner at the garter toss. I wonder if this could be the start of something big? If they did get together and someday took the plunge, he would still be my brother in law, but my sister would also be my sister in law too. Only time will tell.
